1st graders read the book and listened to the song "Go Away Big Green Monster!" by Ed Emberley and created their own big green monsters with tempera paint, construction paper and glue. They smudged cool colored paints onto one side of their paper and folder it to create the symmetrical blob shape. Then, they cut and glued the facial features.
